All about Group Health

The Group Health is a consumer governed nonprofit health care and coverage system, that provides both medical coverage and care. Group Health was founded in the year 1947, it was established by a community coalition dedicated in making quality health care products which are available with in an affordable prise. Group Health and its subsidiary health carriers like Group Health Options, Inc. and KPS Health Plans will serve approximately 568,344 members in Washington and Idaho. In this more than 70 percent of members receive health care in Group Health-owned medical facilities.

Today the Group Health is one of the few health care organizations in the United States governed by consumers. It offers a variety of health plans in Washington and Idaho that provide to meet the needs of large and small employers, Some of the health plans are Health Plans, Medical Facilities, Pharmacy Services, Health Products, Northwest Health Magazine.

There are mainly two types of coverages provided by Group Health such as:
Major Medical Coverage:
It is used for longer periods and there are many medical benefits.
Travel Medical Coverage:
This is generally used for shorter periods and there are no any major benefits for maternity and mental nervousness.

I was of the opinion that it is not feasible to get a single policy that can cover more than one participant until I met Group health. I am happy to be a part of Group health as their policies are mainly given by understanding the emergency cases. I can decide on my own from where I should get the treatment in United States. The decision is completely at my own disposal. They are never taking the physical conditions into consideration when they cover their members..
